As you all may be familiar with the most outstanding, outspoken and driven members of the “IRON HEART SOUND”; DJ Linky and DJ Stamina. The Iron Heart Sound was formed April of the year 2007. They started in the music industry with DJ Fergie from another familiar sound called “Overproof.” Working with “Overproof,” Stamina and Linky grew into the Reggae/Dancehall scene drastically fully inspiring, uplifting, powerful and eager. Linky and Stamina decided they wanted to start and manage their own sound system, after only being with Overproof for less than a year. As one of the youngest sound on the Fort Lauderdale scene, they began working with the best and most popular promoter in Fort Lauderdale and Miami area. Discussing plans and agenda with Grand Wizard about their vision for their future they came up with the name “Iron Heart Sound” which embodies their past struggles and their commitment to never give up until they reach their ultimate goal.
Being crafty and witty, Linky and Stamina was finally able to turn the game around and excel in the club scenes. Stamina and Linky brought two different characteristics and attributes to the Iron Heart Sound with Linky’s entertaining and commanding voice and Stamina’s mixing and fast pace work made them an unstoppable duo. Being so young in the music industry Stamina and Linky are completing as much goals as they can and surpassing expectation. They respect, admire and also try to craft their work ethics to veteran’s sounds system such as; Prodigy, Innocent, Black Chiney and many more that has been on the scene for many years. One of their main goals is to be mentioned in the same sentence as those who have come before and leaving their marked in Reggae Dancehall HISTORY.
Their first mix tape was released in 2008 entitled “Its A Movie” which was distributed throughout Florida, Connecticut New York and etc. “It’s A Movie” has been a better success then they imagined. With Clips from Jamaica’s most popular movie “Top Shotta” it came together with recent songs of early 2008. They also got helped from their friends in the business; “Champion Squad” whom has helped prepared and launched their mix tape on an incredibly new level.
In 2010 Iron Heart Sound introduced “BOBO FRASS” as a new edition to the IRON HEART SOUND family. Together with his ambition, GREAT energy and past experience in the music industry Bobo Frass has contributed tremendously in a limited timeframe. With his ability to stimulate, entertain and capture an audience with his strong will to succeed as made him a perfect addition to the Iron Heart Family.
Also in 2010 Iron Heart Sound released their first (1st) mix tape in the series of the “GROWTH OF A LEGEND COLLECTION” which was a blend of hip hop and RnB. The second mix tape (2nd) in the series was a blend of lover’s rock which was greatly appreciated in the music industry. This was needed because not many DJs were putting out mixed tapes with these quality songs. Iron Heart Sound did a great job bringing different generations together through music. The latest mixed tape is a collection of the newest dancehall music to hit the scene. To this date the mix tape continues to do well both internationally and locally which have made Iron Heart Sound forced to be recognized with. The entire concept of “THE GROWTH OF A LEGEND” series was to show the world the versatility of Iron Heart Sound.
Over the years Iron Heart Sound has still been committed to providing the highest quality of professional sound and making each performance better than the last while delivering the finest entertainment. Iron Heart Sound is South Florida’s #1 DJs! Blazing the BEST in REGGAE, SOCA, HIP-HOP, and R&B. Iron Heart Sound has not only played alongside countless DJs including big names such as; Tony Matterhorn, Stone Love, and DJ Khaled and also has been flown to New York, Connecticut, and London for special performances and played for some of reggae and hip-hop top Artists including; Mr. Vegas, Beenie Man, Movado, Bounty Killer, Gyptian, Flo-Rida, Young Money, Slip-n-Slide, and Etc. Iron Heart Sound has played in EVERY club in South Florida (West Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami) just to name a few these clubs include; Club Living Room (South Beach), Opium (Hardrock Café), Club 954 (Downtown Ft. Lauderdale), Hollywood Live (Hollywood FL). In addition to being DJs we are also promoters that have promoted many successful parties such as: Stush, Strip Tease, College Night, Countdown, Summer Swing, and Summer Swing 2.0.
